From where does my food derive?

Food Inc.

As a “homework assignment” for my paramour from her boss, she had the opportunity to watch “Food Inc.”  Said movie looks deep into the way your (America’s) food is produced.  Needless to say, this turned a multitude of heads here atWillowBridgeCenter(my wife being a leader of the pack).  I have the great pleasure of working alongside a great number of believers in this informational cinematic adventure, and I see many valid points.  First of all, it is very important to know where your meal was grown and how it got onto your dinner table.  Second, “shop locally” is a very important phrase at our place of business.  I bring up small businesses because of co-ops and other locally owned Mom and Pop stores in the area that offer organic food choices.  Being a small business in today’s society is not terribly easy andWillowBridgeCenteras a whole does its best to support other small businesses.  And third, finally, there are much higher standards to which organic food is held.  Therefore, the producer must go above and beyond what is expected of the corporate companies that produce the vast majority of our meals.

That having been said, as a long time McDonald’s eater, this idea is new and foreign to me.  I think that there are a great number of my fellow Americans who share my sentiments.  And rightfully so-organic foods cost a good amount more than your everyday grocery item.  The taste is another item on my mind.  I have tried my fair share of organic foods and beverages and the flavor is the exact same in my ever so biased opinion-coffee being the sole exception.  I have come across an organic blend from a local store that tickles my fancy.

So I leave it up to you, the reader with his/her own opinion.  Only time shall let us know which is truly a better choice.
